Gjør korkonkurranser godt?

Som administrator i Norges Korforbund Hordaland og som kordirigent, er, og har jeg i mange år vært en ivrig deltaker i korkonkurransesammenheng.

Hvorfor? Hva gjør konkurranse godt? Hva er en korkonkurranse for noe?

For meg er musikken alltid i sentrum. – og noe av det mest verdifulle for meg i mitt arbeid med kor, the desire and the joy of making music together, figure out the music together, without “the perfect” should be a goal in itself.

Therefore clutching i sure when choir I direct will participate in competition, it is to sing for others, to listen to others and to get good feedback from knowledgeable people. This feedback can again help us to find new ways into the music's secrets. new experiences. New experiences together. For there are choirs unique. With own voice, own mind and experience. Nothing is stronger for me than singers who made music together, tells the story, creates moment together.

I'm no fan of choir or musicians playing everything correctly, where everything is absolutely precise and clear as glass. Joda, if you were wondering: I also work diligently to make it good blade, misunderstand me correctly. The only difference is that the goal is the road, not perfect. The goal is exercise. The goal is the performance where we touched a string with some in the audience. They did take part in what we experienced. And not least we got that made music people an experience of himself participating in something bigger than ourselves.

Therefore, I am in korkonkurranser: To experience new people music, to share with others, and to experience being part of something bigger. Which it is impossible to calculate until. Med song for ei betre verd. Will coming back to it. What is Norway Korforbund Hordalands motto. Ja, I think the world is better with song. Really.

my challenge, something I have encountered sometimes, are contestants who participate to win. Ja, I'm a competitive person. Do not misunderstand me again. I think it's tremendous to win. I think it's tremendous with coveted locations, and may sigh when a good location bust. – but it is not the goal. The goal is not victory. The goal is experience. – and in all choral competitions I've been in, I feel that this experience is shared by many, and when chorus being placed at the bottom in a competition coming up to me afterwards and was very pleased with her experience of sharing music and presence. Then choral competitions which I will be involved in.

Why could we not rather just have had festivals? I think the answer is that one likes to stretch. I believe that working toward a goal, where a sea matters, together with other, is good. – og ja, One need maybe a little pressure once in a while. A work in order to provide the music the music deserves, and for me who works in amatørkorverdenen are competitions a nice thing to strive for. conceivable, simple and understandable. We are working towards perform our utmost there and then. For music and experience guilt.

The location know I do not how it goes with, og ja, I am soon in the fire, Two choirs: Osterøy choir and vocal ensemble Scream. Our aim is make music that it deserves and to share this with each other. As a small advertisement in the end I can add that we are 25 choir taken to friendly rivalry in the Hall 8th 9.juni. Maybe we'll see.
